Yassuh ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BeSafe mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using BeSafe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. BeSafe is designed to give you safety-critical tools with the minimum data footprint necessary.
We collect the following categories of information:
Location Data
BeSafe accesses your device's GPS location while the app is open (foreground only) to generate your Yassuh location code and display the safety map. We do not collect background location data. Location data is processed on-device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Device Information
We may collect anonymised, non-identifying device information (e.g., operating system version, app version) to diagnose crashes and improve app stability. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Usage Analytics
We collect aggregated, anonymised analytics about how features are used (e.g., which screens are visited most) to improve the App. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
Contact Form Submissions
If you contact us via the website contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. This information is not shared with third parties.

Your location data is used exclusively on your device to calculate your Yassuh code. The code itself — a short alphanumeric string — can be shared by you with emergency services or other parties at your discretion. Sharing your code is always a voluntary action initiated by you.

BeSafe is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Because we collect virtually no personal data, there is little to retain. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to resolve the inquiry, after which they are deleted. Anonymised crash and usage logs are automatically purged after 90 days.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any data we handle. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
BeSafe is available globally. If you are located outside the country where our servers are hosted, be aware that your information (such as contact form data) may be transferred to and processed in that country, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
